For a second time in history, the government in power over Hawaii is trying to divide the people living on these small islands by race. The last time was in January 1893 when Queen Liliuokalani permanently adjourned the legislature and tried to implement a new constitution reserving suffrage solely to persons with Hawaiian blood. The result of that attempt was civil action by citizens born in Hawaii who would have been disenfranchised by the revised constitution...
