‘Why do they go out at night?’ I ask. ‘They are hiding the oil with dispersants,’ Steve said. ‘They don’t want people to know how much oil there is out there. And they don’t want people to know how much dispersants they are spraying. It’s one of the big secrets down here’...

Rig manager challenged BP on personnel change
Washington Post
08/24/10
A Transocean rig manager testified yesterday that, about a week before the April 20 Deepwater Horizon explosion in the Gulf of Mexico, he challenged his counterparts at BP to explain their decision to swap out the most experienced well site leader — or ‘company man’ — for someone less familiar with the rig. … ‘We did have numerous well-control issues throughout drilling this well,’ Transocean’s Paul Johnson, who managed the Deepwater Horizon from Houston, testified at a federal fact-finding hearing in Houston. When he found out that the new company man, Robert Kaluza, would soon fly to the rig, he said: ‘I was a little concerned … We didn’t know who this gentleman was’...

From Mary in the U.S:
"the name of the company that mines the phosphate fertilizer and then markets/distributes the fluoride it removes from its fertilizer is Mosaic, and they are a huge global company, but keep a low profile. The CEO from Mosaic is on the board of directors of Nalco, which is making the "dispersant" Corexit that they are dumping into the Gulf of Mexico. Also on Nalco's board is the VP from Monsanto. The CEO of Nalco is also tied in with Eli Lilly and Dupont. But at this point, I am certain that Mosaic is providing fluoride because it is profitable for the pharmaceutical industry, which then treats the symptoms".
