Obama One Step Closer to Internet Control

by NWV News

Senate Bill 773, as written by West Virginia Sen. Jay Rockefeller, Democrat, would create new “emergency” powers for the President to have power over any “non-governmental” computer networks, whether public or private, that are declared by the President to be “critical.” Before the Summer recess, the Senate Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs Committee unanimously approved Protecting Cyberspace As a National Asset Act of 2010........

Lieberman's Model For America: Purging The Internet of Dissent

The Chinese system has nothing to do with "war" and everything to do with political oppression

Paul Joseph Watson

Thursday, July 15, 2010

When Senator Joe Lieberman attempted to justify draconian legislation that would provide President Obama with a figurative kill switch to shut down parts of the Internet, he cited the Chinese system of Internet policing as model which America should move towards.

Internet privacy: Will you be assimilated?

Downsize DC
by Jim Babka

07/15/10

A huge part of the business of politics involves conferring subsidies and special protections on favored companies and industries, making many of them near (or actual) monopolies that also happen to be ‘too big to fail.’ Now here comes the latest example of monopoly creation by The State … The Feds want to monopolize the user names and passwords that you employ on the Internet! The so-called Department of Homeland Security, in cooperation with major corporations like Microsoft, has drafted what they call a ‘National Strategy for Trusted Identities in Cyberspace.’ That sounds ominous, and it is. Will you be a ‘trusted entity,’ or a distrusted one?

Robots Can't Say No

by Erica Carle

Internal Standards Must Go. The ideal type for life in the sociocratic new world order is a human automaton with no internal standards. A robot can't say no. It is controlled by whatever signals are used to activate a response. The New World Order needs robotic human responders, not self-controlled individuals who have internal standards. Auguste Comte, the originator of sociocracy put it this way:........

James Mattis: 'It's fun to shoot some people'

President Obama's pick to lead military operations in Afghanistan, Iraq, Pakistan and the Middle East is an experienced ground combat commander, but also earned a stern rebuke in 2005 for controversial comments about combat operations. Marine Corps Gen. James Mattis, then a lieutenant general, told a crowd in San Diego that it was "fun to shoot some people" and said that some Afghans deserved to die.

The State of the Union

Too Big to Fail

William Rivers Pitt, Truthout: "The phrase 'Too big to fail' entered the modern American lexicon with a terrible vengeance a couple of years ago, after billions of tax dollars were deployed as spit and mortar to hold up failing companies which, if they actually did fail, would have sent the US and the rest of the world spiraling into some kind of mega-ultra-super depression. That's what we were told, anyway, and it may well be true, but that hardly gets rid of the rancid taste the phrase leaves behind when spoken."

Tremble, banks, tremble

The New Republic
by James K. Galbraith

07/09/10

The financial crisis in America isn’t over. It’s ongoing, it remains unresolved, and it stands in the way of full economic recovery. The cause, at the deepest level, was a breakdown in the rule of law. And it follows that the first step toward prosperity is to restore the rule of law in the financial sector...
